Safety & Occupational Health Office

The Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Office’s mission is to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, Soldiers and Airmen of the Mississippi National Guard (MSNG). The mission is supported by federal statutes set forth by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), and in the regulatory guidance established by the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of the Army (DA), and the National Guard Bureau (NGB). The SOH Office strives to provide quality education, training, guidance and support in the areas of safety. The SOH Office focuses on units and personnel incorporating safety into their missions, lives, and daily activities. The five-step Risk Management Process is the cornerstone of the Safety and Occupational Health Program.
